Sales copy for websites: writing that earns the click
Design captures attention, but the decision is made on the copy. Here is how to write so visitors reach the button.
Start with the customer, not yourself
Most sites open with 'We are a dynamically developing company'. Visitors do not care: they came to solve their own problem.
A working formula for the first screen: what you do + for whom + what result + in what timeframe or price. Specifics instead of adjectives.
Numbers instead of judgements
'Fast delivery' is a judgement. 'Delivery across Tashkent in 3 hours' is a fact, and facts build trust because they can be verified.
Handling objections in the copy
Write down five real questions customers ask on the phone and answer them on the page. This removes friction before the call.
Typical objections in Uzbekistan: 'what if you disappear after delivery', 'why so expensive', 'what if I dislike the design', 'who maintains the site afterwards'.
Bilingual copy specifics
The Uzbek version is not a machine translation of the Russian. Phrasing, examples and even argument order may differ.
Native speakers spot machine translation instantly, and it damages trust more than having no Uzbek version at all.
