When you don't need a website: an honest take from developers

We make our living building websites, and still: some of the companies that approach us do not need one yet. Saying so is more honest than selling a useless asset.

When demand is unproven

If the product has never sold, a website is an expensive way to find out whether it will. Ads, a Telegram channel or a simple builder landing page test demand faster and cheaper.

Once the first sales arrive and you know your customer and their objections, the site can be built on facts. Sites built before first sales are usually rebuilt within a year.

When nobody handles the enquiries

A site multiplies incoming enquiries; it does not create sales. If leads already go unanswered for a day, a new site only increases the number lost.

Fix the handling first: who replies, how fast, where enquiries are recorded, what happens to people who did not buy immediately.

What to do instead, and when to revisit

A minimum viable presence: a complete Google Business Profile with address, hours and reviews, an active Telegram channel or ordering bot, and a tidy social profile.

Revisit the site when demand is proven, enquiry handling works, you want organic traffic, you need integrations, or dependence on one platform has become a risk. Then a Standard site from 3,499,000 UZS is an investment rather than a cost.
