A brochure website for a sole trader: is it needed in 2026
The question is not whether a brochure site is outdated, but which job a sole trader is hiring it for — social media and a website close different parts of the funnel.
What social media cannot replace
Instagram and Telegram show a business's process and character well, but fail at two things: they are not found by someone googling 'dentist near me', and a search engine does not treat a social page as an official company site. A brochure site closes exactly that gap — presence in Google and Yandex results where people search by specific query.
The second factor is trust. Clients for higher-ticket services often verify a provider through a website: registration details, portfolio, contacts and reviews in one place.
When a sole trader genuinely does not need a site
If your whole business runs on personal referrals and returning clients who find you through friends rather than search, a site will not meaningfully increase enquiries — spend the money elsewhere.
The minimal version that pays for itself
A sole trader does not need a ten-section site — one page with a clear service description, pricing, a portfolio, reviews and a Telegram contact button is enough. It costs 2,000,000–3,500,000 UZS and takes a week and a half to two weeks.
