Instagram advertising for businesses in Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan Instagram is the shop window, but deals close in Telegram or by phone. Build campaigns around that route rather than a classic web form.
Where to send the traffic
The click-site-form path underperforms here. People are used to messaging: direct, Telegram, phone. A Messages objective often produces cheaper leads simply because it matches habitual behaviour.
The catch is staffing. If nobody answers direct messages in the evening or at weekends, cheap leads become lost leads. Aim to reply within 10–15 minutes.
For products with a clear price and a cart, the website still wins: pixel data, remarketing and real analytics only work there.
Audiences that actually work
Start with geography and age rather than interests — Tashkent, 25–45, broad. Narrow audiences burn out fast at Uzbekistan's scale, and the same people see the ad a dozen times.
The strongest segments are your own: customer phone lists, pixel visitors, people who engaged with the account in the last 90 days, video viewers. Look-alikes built from these usually deliver the best cost per lead.
Test tight geography for location-bound businesses: an ad for a Yunusabad clinic aimed at Yunusabad residents beats a citywide one.
Creatives, language and moderation
Default format: a 10–20 second vertical video shot on a phone. Polished studio imagery reads as an ad and gets scrolled past; real interiors and real staff hold attention longer.
Produce separate Russian and Uzbek creatives instead of one clip with two captions. Uzbek creatives frequently cost less for the same audience quality.
Common rejection triggers: promised medical or cosmetic outcomes, before-and-after photos, vague credit and instalment claims, and personal-attribute phrasing. Keep a backup ad account and page ready — restoring access takes days.
