A Telegram bot for a medical center: booking and reminders

A clinic's front desk spends most of the day on bookings and reminders. A bot takes over both, leaving the receptionist only the non-standard cases.

Booking a doctor

The patient picks a specialty or a specific doctor, sees open slots and books a convenient time without calling and waiting on hold — especially valuable at peak hours when every line is busy.

The bot should show more than just time: the visit price, whether preparation is needed (fasting, documents), procedure duration. This cuts down the questions that would otherwise come by phone.

Reminders and reducing no-shows

A reminder a day before and a couple of hours before the visit is standard practice that noticeably cuts no-shows. This matters especially in healthcare: a missed doctor slot is a direct, unrecoverable loss of time and revenue.

The reminder should include the option to cancel or reschedule right in the bot — freeing the slot for another patient ahead of time rather than at the last minute.

Sensitivity of medical data

The bot must not store diagnoses or test results openly in chat — this is sensitive personal data, and delivering exam results requires a separate secure channel, not a regular bot message.

Keep the bot to organizational functions: booking, reminders, general service information. It must never provide medical consultation or interpret results under any circumstances.

Cost

A booking bot with several doctors' schedules and reminders: 6M–10M UZS. Integration with an existing clinic information system is quoted individually, usually from 12M UZS given the specifics of the integration.
