Furniture manufacturer website: a size calculator, measurement visits and lead times

Custom furniture buyers want two things: roughly what it costs at their exact dimensions, and when it will actually arrive.

A catalogue built around materials

Each model needs photographed finish options — colour, texture, upholstery — not a text list saying 'various colours available'. Buyers decide visually.

State the material grade and warranty clearly; the difference between economy and premium chipboard isn't visible in a photo but shows up after two years.

A size-based calculator

Custom manufacturers rarely sell off-the-shelf pieces. A calculator where the buyer enters dimensions and gets an estimate removes the main barrier to calling.

Label the total as preliminary, pending an in-home measurement — honest, and it moves the visitor to the next step instead of leaving.

Measurement visits and lead times

The measurement booking form should collect district, preferred time and an optional room photo, speeding up the pre-visit estimate.

Publish real lead times by furniture type on the site itself, not only in the contract — a common source of disputes when the timeline surfaces only after payment.
