Realistic website timelines and what delays them

'How fast can you do it?' is almost always the first question. The honest answer depends less on the studio than on how quickly the client replies.

Typical durations

Landing page: two to three weeks when materials are ready. Bilingual corporate site: one to one and a half months. Online store with catalogue and payments: two to three months or more.

These assume a working rhythm — replies within a day or two, materials on time, and revisions batched into one list rather than arriving nightly.

What causes delays

Content, by a wide margin: unwritten copy, unshot photography, product data with no specifications. Development stalls while the calendar keeps moving.

Then approvals. When several people decide and disagree, every stage runs two or three rounds. One accountable decision-maker speeds a project up more than any tooling.

What cannot be rushed

Structural design, and third-party integrations. Payme or Click onboarding depends on paperwork and checks on the provider's side, so start it alongside design.

If a date is fixed, launch a reduced version with the key pages and a working form, then add the rest — better than delaying for sections nobody opens in month one.
