Why a business needs a blog and how to measure it

A blog rarely sells directly. It does something else: it reaches people while they are still choosing and answers questions before they reach your sales team.

What a blog is for

Search traffic on pre-purchase queries — how much, how to choose, what is the difference — that service pages never cover.

Trust, and saved sales time: half the objections are handled before the first call, and a manager can send a link instead of repeating an explanation.

Choosing topics

Your Telegram history is the best source. Scroll the last twenty conversations and note the repeating questions — each is a topic with guaranteed demand.

Search Console adds the rest: which phrases already find you, and where you get impressions but no clicks.

Time to results and what to measure

Three posts do nothing. Effects appear around fifteen to twenty pieces covering a topic properly, which is roughly six months of steady work — but the effect compounds and old posts keep working.

Measure the number of pages earning organic entries rather than raw pageviews, and log enquiries where the customer mentions an article.
